Got Questions?
While we’d love to hear from you directly, here are some answers to the commonly asked questions in the meantime…
JOURNEYS is an incredible summer traveling experience for Bais Yaakov girls to uplift, inspire, and recharge for the new year ahead.
This year the group will be 10th-12th graders
This year will be on the West Coast.
Of the USA that is...
Yup! You can check out NesiaExperience.com for more info
From the good ones...Obviously 🙂
This summer there will only be a second half option. From right after Tisha B’av until right before Rosh Chodesh Elul.
Unfortunately, you’ve located your antitheses. There are no 1 PM wakeup days, no “do-nothing” beach weekends, and no free-for-all options. So while you won’t fit in with our program, just reach out and we’ll be happy to direct you to more suitable options that we know of.
Was that a serious question? Of course you will!
Yup. Shabbos is included in EVERY.SINGLE.DAY 😊
Our experienced Director is Mrs Tzipora Kaplan. She's been doing this for a decade and well as being an incredible cook, teacher, and travel companion...she's the one you want on speed dial.
Our talented and effervescent Head Counselor is Mrs Bracha Lang (Murik). Her years of experience teaching and working with girls provide the baseplate for the incredible relationships she builds with the campers. She currently lives in Eretz Yisroel with her family, but as you might experience this summer...JOURNEYS is worth traveling for!
Enough to discourage you from coming if you get car sick, but not enough that you’ll feel like you’re living out of the van
Clean, safe, modern, roomy…were you expecting another answer? We aim for the nicest options that best serve our needs. There are no seedy, rundown Motel 6 vibes on our itineraries.
That depends on the route that year. (And yes, we 1000% recommend a camping experience with JOURNEYS) Although for the few nights that we do camp, it’s always within the beautiful confines of a National Park and generally includes hot showers, running water, laundry…you can call it camping, glamping, or what it actually is – pure and peaceful tranquility out in nature.
Let’s just say it won’t disappoint! We put a lot of priority on our delicious meals. Top Kashrus & top quality. And yes, we’ll have all the snacks you can eat when those late night or long drive munchies come around.
Proper. Done right. A highlight. Memorable…..feel free to add your own positive synonyms.
Make an exception and fit everything into a single suitcase. If you can’t imagine one measly suitcase being enough room, there’s a good chance we probably are the wrong type of summer camp experience for you.
We’ll find it a slightly strange, but sure
Generally, yes. Reach out for specific details
Ever looked into a potential shidduch? About the same long.
AMAZING PEOPLE! The staff are a crucial ingredient in the success and happiness of everyone in camp. As such notable priority is placed on who we bring along. They are all talented, relatable, responsible, and dedicated role models. Most of our staff are married and individuals who we have known for multiple years.
You’ll be spending the summer with like-minded girls that are all there for the exact same purpose, to recharge for the new year with an incredible summer that you’ll never forget, in a healthy and kosher atmosphere. As such, its remarkably easy to make new life-long friends and to quickly bond with the crowd even if you don’t know anyone in advance.
While we daven that it’s never needed, we have relationships with the local urgent care facilities if something needs outside attention that can’t be dealt with by someone trained on our staff. The health and safety of everyone is our foremost priority. We do whatever we can (given the structure of a travel camp) to accommodate any specific medical needs. Reach out to us regarding specific circumstances you may have, and we’ll be happy to advise on its plausibility.
